In 2009, born again peleton Keith Carby came up with the idea of inviting a group of like-minded executives from the financial services industry to take part in one of life's great challenges - to cycle the length of Great Britain and to raise money for worthy causes.
In September 2009, the inaugural MoneySpinners event took place. Twenty cyclists covered 1000 miles in 10 days from Lands End to John O'Groats, raising £150,000 for charity in the process.
This fantastic achievement from 2009 will be repeated in September 2010. Nineteen cyclists will cover 584 miles from the most easterly point of England to the most westerly point of Ireland. We are calling this event 'Coast to Coast... to Coast to Coast'. In 2010 the aim to raise over £100,000 for charity.
MoneySpinners are looking to raise sponsorship through support from organisations linked to the financial services industry.
