On behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support I would like to thank all of the MoneySpinners who participated during 2010 for your outstanding efforts in raising £52,809! What a wonderful achievement! Thanks also goes out to all those who sponsored and supported the participants through donations, supply of food or moral support!
When faced with a cancer diagnosis, imagine the difference it would make to know that there was somebody to turn to, somebody to guide you through the maze of different services and be a consistent source of support. That someone is a Macmillan nurse. Our expert nurses aim to be there right from the point of diagnosis, providing much-needed advice, information and support. They provide care in a variety of settings, for example, in hospital, at home or from a local clinic.
The money raised by MoneySpinners is enough to fund the vital work of a Macmillan Nurse for just over 1 year, during which time they will conduct over 2,500 visits with patients who are affected by cancer.

From all of us at Macmillan Cancer Support, we can't thank you enough for your commitment and support. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you all.
MoneySpinner's nominated charity for 2010 was Macmillan Cancer Support.
With one in three people getting cancer, Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. Most of the
riders have been touched in some way by friends and family who have fought cancer. A few have won or are winning, many have
passed away. We can all help.
